Why is the top search result default instead of all results?
I checked that first thing

Here is my typical use case.
In specific logins I create in 1Password using my Android app, I require a more secure password to be used, hence when I create the new login, I select a password that is more complex with more characters, using symbols and numbers. However, since there is no option in the app to not set this as Default password setting for future logins, I would like to go back into Password Generator and set the default settings back to settings I usual use for logins (less complex with fewer characters and no symbols), that way I am prepared for next time I create a login.
Also, would like to have the ability, same as in the browser extension, when I start using a new Android/iOS device to have the Password Generator settings already set, instead of having to do it when I create a password. It makes it that much easier to manage Password Generator directly, rather than having to actually start creating a new login or going to an existing login to select a new password just to view the Password Generator. - 1P_Dave11 months ago

I can definitely file a feature request on your behalf. Can you tell me a little more about the use case here? Wouldn't you want to save any newly generated password in 1Password? Are you generating passwords that you're not saving in 1Password?
I look forward to hearing from you.

Yes, I have seen the guide. You keep referring me to use the new login option to get to Password Generator, but what I am after is the option to go directly to Password Generator on the Android App without having to go through creating a new login. Like in a browser, as you shown me in previous post, where I can go to Password Generator from the Menu.
Is there such an option to go directly to Password Generator on the Android app, without having to create a new login?
If no, that is ok, just consider this a possible Feature Request for any future update to the apps. For now, I will use the indirect option to adjust Password Generator settings, and hope for this feature to be added to a later version. - 1P_Dave11 months ago

Have you taken a look at the following guide: Use the password generator to change and strengthen your passwords
It details how to use the password generator in 1Password for Android.

Ok, that is good to know how to make settings in the browser.
How about the Desktop or Android/iOS Apps, is there a way to open "Password Generator" the same way to perform the same settings?
I create most of my logins from my Android device, when I create accounts for apps, and would like to have this option on the app as well. Not the most critical, I know once you make the settings for a new password, the settings are saved, but might be nice feature to add to the apps. - 1P_Dave11 months ago

You can change the password generator settings in the 1Password app when generating a password and they'll stay the same the next time that you generate a password: Use the password generator to change and strengthen your passwords
You'll need to set this individually in the 1Password app on all of your devices.
When using 1Password in the browser, you can set your default settings by following these steps:
- Open your browser.
- Click on the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar.
- Click on the menu icon, then click Password Generator.
- Choose "Random Password" as the type. Configure the other options as needed.
- Make sure to turn on "Use as default for suggestions".
Going forward, 1Password will generate a password according to this recipe right on the page:
I hope that helps. 🙂

What specifically I am looking for, is on any version of 1Password (Windows Desktop, web browser, android or iOS apps) that I am using, is to have a way to setup the Password Generator with the default password configuration I prefer, without having to actually create a password or login.
So for example if I want all my passwords from now on to be 12 character long, numeric no symbols, I can go to any of my 1password apps (Windows Desktop, Web Browser extension, Android/iOS apps) and set this default Generator settings, and in future I will know any new passwords created (for new logins or updating already created logins) will follow this set password parameters. I won't have to create an login just to get to Generator settings. Have Generator be a separate menu option in Settings.
Hope this is clear what I would like to have.

Hello Sokpan! 👋
Thank you for the feedback. Can you tell me a little more about your request? Are you creating a new login in the desktop app? Or wanting to generate and save a login in the browser?
If it's the latter then you can adjust the custom password generator in the browser using these steps: Create a custom password
I look forward to hearing from you.
