UI issues with search, the recent outage, and the community
Are there any plans to make the UI (especially the extension) intuitive so we don't have to google how to do simple things? So frustrating.

Hello MikeCheel! 👋
I'm sorry that you're running into issues with both 1Password and the community. I'll reply below:
I wanted to edit my original post to provide more example but can't see that it is possible.
You should be able to edit your post by clicking on the gear wheel next to it:
For replies to posts, you can click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the post and click Edit from the menu that appear.I tried to search for a login I created a couple of days ago and I know for sure a word that my comment contains. No results from the vault.
So that I can better understand the situation can you tell me the following:
- Were you using the 1Password app? The browser extension? Or the website? If you were using the app then what kind of device did you run into the issue on?
- Where is the word saved in the item? In the title? In the notes field?
Turns out 1Password was having login issues today. This was not immediately apparent because the little pink(?) offline cloud is not easily noticed and I couldn't view my vault because of this which is super unintuitive.
I'm sorry for the disruption. Yesterday, 1Password experienced an outage affecting sign in and sync. Our team has implemented a fix for the issue and the situation is now resolved. You should be able to use 1Password normally again. You can find more details on our status page.
If you were using the app then you should still have been able to view your items since the app maintains an offline cache. Can you tell me a little more about what you mean when you say that you couldn't view your vault?
Logging into this forum (again after a long time) was also painful and a super waste of time for something that should be a lot easier.
Earlier this year we transitioned to a new platform for the community which may have required you to reset your password as part of the account migration process. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, let me know if you run into any further issues now that you're signed in.

Even this forum is pretty bad. I wanted to edit my original post to provide more example but can't see that it is possible.

When it came back online after several attempts it still gave no results for my keyword. Editing an item opens the vault. Why can't there be a menu item to view vault?
So once I have this open, I search my logins and sort by newest and sure enough my login was created as I thought and the search term I was looking for was in the comment. Why wouldn't it show up in the results?
I have been a 1Password user for a number of years now and the user interface is overcomplicated and confusing as ever. Logging into this forum (again after a long time) was also painful and a super waste of time for something that should be a lot easier.- AJCxZ0Silver Expert
The gear ⚙️ in the top right of the screen below the header provides a drop-down which may include Edit, or may not depending on who-knows-what. Suggestions have been made.
Between the web interface, browser extensions, desktop, and mobile clients, search is less than consistent or optimal. I'm not to what field you're referring as "the comment", but I'm sure that others will be able to answer if you clarify the question and identify the interface(s).
