Touch ID will not unlock 1Password 8
On my MacBook Air touch id unlocks other apps and sites as well as unlocking the machine after a reboot but no luck with 1P8.

You should be able to unlock 1Password 8 for Mac using Touch ID even after a reboot. It sounds like something might be going wrong on your Mac and I apologize for the issue. I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from your Mac:

Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to
support+forum@1password.com.With your email please include:

I can unlock it with Touch ID but first have to click the fingerprint icon.

Do you have the Touch ID setting enabled under 1Password's Preferences > Security?
