Unlocking 1Password with special char in Password

we upgraded to 1Password8 yesterday.
Now i have an problem to unlock 1Password8.
My Password contains a tilde char (~) which cannot be entered in the password input.

1P_PeterG Thanks for the answer, but i'm also an developer and don't understand why it is not possible to allow some special chars e.g. the tilde (~).
You can write the tilde and the unlock of 1Password works fine, the only issue is the password hide feature. That is the reason why i can't understand that it is not possible to use the chars while the password is hidden.
