v8 not loving it - we might break up

I don't often send reviews - takes to much time to do it well - here goes my short rant forgive me.

I made friends with it after LastPass  major data leak user emails (2021-22) due to an employee password getting leaked! (if you had super secure password you were not as compromised but scammers had your data)

v7 was a clean fresh large view interface. No distracting attention competing bright icons.

Once I learned it I don't want to relearn it with an update for security esp. my password manager. Thank you

Also all the Actions were conveninetly located above the item. And the default app text is smaller.


v8 now replaced by a visually busy multi colored interface with small text and hidden some buttons  - v7 had everything I needed regualrly at glance without googling where to dig for the action I needed.

I hate dark mode. My brain likes white space and my eyesight requires the contrast. I know lots of people love it so ok if they turn it on,  but don't assume everyone prefers it.
Pehaps there is a 'View settings' I can change - annoying I have to dig 


The browser extension on all my devices also stopped working after I had to update my office password and I finally just deleted the extension and will try to reinstall it on Chrome.

There are a million apps for absolutely everything now and I can't stand the cognitive demand just to mange them - I have a job and hobbies I prefer to use that limited resouce on :-)

Generally I like to support open source software so I also tried Bit Warden but it was too complicated for my limited attention span. Download all the csv files and data being in the wrong order was very very frustrating.

This is not an upgrade for me and we might break up.....

    Hi dmcd​, thanks for writing in. I really appreciate your feedback on this. I'd be happy to share your comments with the team, but I wanted to dive into a few of your points first.

    The biggest difference in colour I notice are the category and group icons in the left hand column. Is this the same for you, or are there other specific places you're finding busy?

    Adjusting Interface Zoom from Settings > Appearance will increase the size of text. However, it will increase the size of all text and icons, so I understand if this may not help with the small text you mentioned. Is there a section with small text you've found to be an issue?

    Similar question regarding the hidden buttons. Are there any particular buttons or actions that have been difficult to use or find?

    As for the size of the interface, you can adjust the width of the three columns. If you find you prefer more real-estate for the item view, you can reduce the size of either or both the item section lists.

    I believe the default setting is to match the system theme, but you can also select the Dark or Light theme from Settings > Appearance if you want something different.
