Watchtower missing categories - ex. Passkeys available

Intended to check Watchtower today to see how recent compromised account data dumps were appearing. I found Watchtower was missing categories. I keep a note of stuff so I can easily see newly appearing items, so I have a record of counts as of Jan 19 2026 to compare against what I'm seeing currently. 

I'm only seeing Vulnerable Passwords (only after tweaking something in settings), reused passwords, weak passwords, expiring items, and developer credentials on disk. Something with passkey and 2fa is affecting results.

I should see something like this based on my Jan 19 note.

19 vulnerable passwords

21 passkeys available

2 reused passwords

22 weak passwords

2 two-factor authentication

7 expiring items

6 ignored alerts

    Hello suprafan​! 👋

    Thank you for reaching out. I see that you've shared what you're expecting to see in Watchtower, can you clarify what you do see for each category? For example, how many items do you see in the "Passkeys available" category currently?

    Can you check the following:

    1. Did you add passkeys to some of your Login items since January 19th?
    2. Did you accidentally ignore any Watchtower alerts in Watchtower > Show Ignored Alerts? 
    3. Have you chosen your entire account in the 1Password account picker at the top of the sidebar or are you only viewing a specific collection? If you've created a collection then Watchtower will only show items for the currently chosen collection.

      Hi,

      1. I have zero passkeys set up, and have set up zero passkeys since then. I expected to see 21 passkeys needing set up based on my note. I am not comfortable with passkeys and am sticking to 2fa for the time being but plan to switch over at some point in future.
      2. No. I had 21 passkeys needing set up, and I should have seen 21 passkeys still needing setting up. I had not accidentally ignored anything. My current ignore list is 6 items called "TESTxxx", 
      3. I only have one vault in my account and don't have any collections. 

      Further info from my side...  at some point after raising the above post, the problem resolved itself. Watchtower currently has all 21 passkey items and 2 two-factor items back in the Watchtower dashboard along with the other categories. Should have taken a screen grab on the day showing the absence of entries for those categories.

        Thanks for sharing those details suprafan​. I'm glad to hear this issue has resolved itself, though we'd certainly like to see consistent Watchtower reporting. 

        One possibility is that the "Check for two-factor authentication", and "Check for passkeys" settings (under Settings > Privacy > Watchtower) were inadvertently turned off, or were off in one place you access 1Password but not another.
