Why are contents of the "notes" field shown in the search box??
This is unwanted behavior... is there a way to shut this off? I only want name, username, and url shown in the search results.
Even if this IS intentional, it looks weird because there is no space between the item name and the notes content. Also, if the note is long, it completely pushes the other fields off to the right so they are not visible.

Thank you for your patience. Our developers have released a fix for an issue where the notes field was always shown when searching, even if it was unrelated to the search. If you haven't already, please update to version 8.10.36:
Let me know if you still see the issue after updating.

+1 on Windows too. (Probably not surprising, given your Electron code base design.)

1Password Team
Hi luckman212 and Johncord - You're correct that this is not the intended behaviour, the contents of the Notes field should only be included in the search preview if there is a match for your search term in the Notes field.
I'm sorry for any interruption to your workflow that this has caused, the development team are currently working on a fix for this issue, as well as working on fixing the spacing that you mentioned.
I can't offer a timeframe for when the fix will become available, but keeping 1Password up to date will be the best way to ensure that you receive all fixes and improvements as soon as they're released.
Is there a special forum area or way to report bugs, or is this the correct way to do it?
You're welcome to report any issues as you have here, through the relevant forum section for the platform where you've experienced the problem. Sometimes with reports of unexpected behaviour, we may need to ask you to send an email to
support@1Password.comso we can do some more detailed troubleshooting privately, which will allow us to gather diagnostics and discuss account specific information.Thank you for taking the time to report this issue. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll be here to help.
