Why can't I install the 1Password extension in Safari?

2 years agoI come across all manner of folks who write in and tell us my system is fully updated. They have auto-update enabled, but for one reason or another, they are never shown any updates. Some of those pour souls have been 17 security updates behind. Yikes.
Forcing a check reveals those updates on occasion. I'm not saying you are in need of one; only that we need to rule in or out it as the culprit. Based on the numbers you provided, it's a slim chance but one we still need to consider. Can you check manually and look for any security updates?
Assuming the above is not fruitful and, should you want to skip to something more exciting, try the following. If the below is not fruitful, try the beginning portion. 🙂
Open and unlock the main 1Password app.
Click the Help menu > Troubleshooting > Fix Missing Safari Extension.
If this fails, it's likely time to get you over to my colleagues on the technical team for further review and the chance to gather some logs.
