Will 1Password 8 have a stand-alone license?
I am just looking for information regarding a standalone license statement for 1Password 8, really not looking for sales speeches regarding any subscription plans as I have severe allergic reactions to any form of subscriptions. Thanks in advance.

Thanks DenalB . I was actually aware of that and had been posting in their forum asking when v6 is coming out as it will support it and just found out today that they will only support subscriptions for v6, so looks like DataVault it is.

Hi @gustsant !
move to mSecure
Please keep in mind that mSecure doesn't have a browser extension available yet if you are a Windows user! The feature request for such an extension is more than 3 years old... - NaxterraDedicated Contributor
Even though I hate subscription systems myself, it is the way to go. 1Password is selling a service, and one lifetime license will not cover cost of operations. Standalone licenses are viable if you use a local application, but you are using a service, e.g. all logins are stored in the cloud in three different geo locations instead of your local computer.

Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately it looks like it is time for me to leave 1Password behind and move to mSecure or Datavault, which is a shame as I have really enjoyed 1Password over the years.
