Hey @frog2:
Thanks for following up on this, DenalB has suggested almost exactly what I was going to suggest!
Please try these steps and let me know if that improves your state of play:
- Install 1Password 8 Nightly using this URL: https://downloads.1password.com/win/1PasswordSetup-latest.NIGHTLY.exe
- After installing 1Password 8 Nightly, use Add & Remove Programs to uninstall 1Password 8 Nightly.
- Reinstall the production build of 1Password: https://1password.com/downloads/windows/
Let me know how you get on with that!

What happens, when you install 1PW8 beta build over the existing version? Does this work? And are you able to remove 1PW8 then?

hi,
it is not possible to uninstall the corrupt 1password version. Not in the new apps UI , nor in the old programms and features UI .
No error message, just nothing is happening.
I will now try to find all the parts of the software in the system (filesystem, registry and so on...) and remove them manually.
Or do you have another suggestion? - Jack_P_1P

Hi @frog2:
As DenalB suggested (thanks for the assist! 😎), the quick first step to try would be uninstalling 1Password and reinstalling the stable build from here: https://1password.com/downloads/windows/
When uninstalling from the Add & Remove Programs view as you've taken a screenshot of, none of your 1Password information on your device will be removed. Let me know how you get on with that!

Then please install the latest stable release!
And maybe check before removing the beta build if you are in the beta channel or the production channel in the settings. If beta channel is enabled switch to production channel.

thank you for the fast response. I will try what you suggested.
What I do not understand is why i am on a BETA version of the software. I did not activly requested this or is this default setting on 1Password? - DenalBSuper Contributor
Hi @frog2!
Did you try to remove the existing version and reinstall the latest beta build again?
https://releases.1password.com/windows/beta/For me this did the trick and 1Password app was there again. 😉
