Just downloaded today's nightly 1Password for Mac. It comes up with the following error message, then closes after clicking OK. Downloading the production version got the same result. Help! Hello folks, Our developers are aware of of an issue where the nightly version of 1Password isn't able to open because of a database schema change. To get 1Password working again please follow these steps: Make sure that you have a copy of your Emergency Kit and are signed into your 1Password account on another device to avoid being locked out of your account. If you don't have another device where you're signed into your 1Password account then please reach out to support@1Password.com and do not proceed further to avoid being locked out of your account. Manually remove your 1Password data from your device by following the steps under the "To remove your 1Password data" section: For Mac: https://support.1password.com/uninstall-1password/#to-remove-your-1password-data-mac For Windows: https://support.1password.com/uninstall-1password/#to-remove-your-1password-data-windows Open the 1Password app and follow the prompts to add your account back to the app. Let me know if you run into any issues. snozdop I'm sorry for the confusion. The article that you linked to describes how to reset the app using the "Reset 1Password" button found in 1Password > Settings > Advanced. Once you've reset 1Password using that button you'll see a backup of your database in the location mentioned with the following format: 1password_xxxxxxxxxx_v8.xx.xx.sqlite which you can remove by using the steps in the article if you wish. In this situation, it's not possible to use the "Reset 1Password" button since the 1Password app can't be opened at all and that article's steps won't apply here. I recommend anyone else affected by this issue use the steps in my reply here. -Dave

Same here. Tried the beta 8.10.46-1 as well as the nightly 8.10.46-21 with same result. Can't get into my 1Password data at all, even through the browser extension. Not good. UPDATE 1: I can't follow the instructions here to start over because I can't access the Reset 1Password option inside the app because clicking OK in the above dialog just quits the app. The developers need to cater for this situation and allow you to reset the app. UPDATE 2: Tried to follow the "To delete the backup of your data" from the above instructions page, but there was no 1password_xxxxxxxxxx_v8.xx.xx.sqlite file to delete. Instead I had the following files: 1password_resources.sqlite 1password_resources.sqlite-shm 1password_resources.sqlite-wal 1password.sqlite I deleted those files and restarted 1Password and it allowed me to re-login to my account and get up and running again using the latest nightly 8.10.46-21. Phew!

I have it working again. I could remove the app from the list by starting appwiz.cpl.
After that installing worked again.

I removed the data. But now the 1Password app doesn't work anymore. It is gone too.
I tried installing it again. But nothing happens. Removing it in Windows 11 from the installed apps also isn't possible anymore.

Once you've completed those steps you'll be able to open and use the nightly version of 1Password for Mac again.

Hello,

I have the same issue. If I wait will a new version be installed automatically after the issue has been fixed?
Or do I need to uninstall the software and remove the 1Password data anyway?

1P_Dave I ran into this same problem. I am on Nightly and downloaded the latest nightly pushed out to me and restarted. That's when the error came up. So there was no rollback or manual installation on my end.
This is the 1Password.exe that got pushed out to me:

I would have liked to just install the previous nightly locally. But I don't know where they get stored off the top of my head. So it loks like I will have to do your original fix.
