Ok after sorting out id touch , with a fresh install , I get to the point where I find I use my yubikey to authenticate , but when it asks for

Moderator@peawee Thank you for confirming. :) Our developers have investigated this issue and filed a bug report with Apple since the issue is being caused by an Apple process that is crashing. I've added your report to our internal work item for the issue so that our developers are aware.
In the meantime, as a workaround, you can continue to use your authenticator app if you need to add your 1Password account to the 1Password for Mac app in the future (as you mentioned).
