Tab S9 keyboard cover causes repeat characters in search bar
On a Galaxy Tab S9, whenever I use my on my keyboard cover to type in the search bar of the 1Password app, each character I type is repeated multiple times. Example: if I type a word, e.g. "password" in the search bar, I see: "paspasspasswopassword" This problem does not occur in any other app. This problem does not occur if I use the on-screen keyboard. This problem occurs less often (but still occurs) when I wait for the suggestions to be displayed after each character is typed. In the Android app, when tapping on a tab, it would be great if a second tap on the same tab put focus in the search bar, so that the on-screen keyboard appears, to avoid having to tap at the other end of the screen to get focus in that field and then come back down to type the search string.19Views0likes1CommentTravel mode on android
Hello- I know how to put 1 Password on travel mode via .com on a computer but I won't be traveling with a computer/laptop. From what I can tell, you can't put an android on travel mode from the 1 password app. If this is true, what other security measures can I take? Thanks, PatriciaSolved21Views0likes3CommentsFeature Request - Option to search all item types from browser or autofill
Please allow an option so that the browser extensions and android autofill can search all item types rather than just the ones it thinks are relevant (eg login items). It's a pain to have to switch to the 1Password app to get a credit card number (or wifi password for a captive portal) just because those are saved as the (correct) "wrong" type, especially on android where firefox browser has a fifty-fifty chance of reloading the page in question if you switch to a different app and then return.35Views0likes1CommentExperiment #7 - Anti-Peek Mode
Hello 1Password Community! At 1Password, we are constantly looking for new and innovative ways to help you use 1Password with confidence - even when you are out in the world and uncertain of how secure your surroundings are. This is why we’ve introduced Anti-Peek Mode, a new 1Password Labs feature for our Android and iOS applications that provides additional protection from unwanted shoulder surfing when using 1Password in unsecured, public environments. How does it work? When you enable Anti-Peek Mode in the 1Password app on your Android or iOS device, the following protections are applied making it harder for those around you to peek at your data: Items on the Home screen are blurred and require a long press to reveal Usernames, in addition to passwords, are also concealed by default on item detail screens and must be revealed to see Usernames are no longer displayed as subtitles for items on the Home or Search screens Quick actions when tapping on an item field are disabled and any actions (such as Reveal) must be invoked via the item’s overflow menu Recent search results are hidden. The “Always show passwords and full credit card numbers” option is disabled. Screenshots and screen recording are disabled (Android only) How to try Anti-Peek Mode To try out Anti-Peek mode, first, make sure that you are on the latest version of 1Password (8.10.62) on your iOS or Android device. Then, go to Settings > Labs > Anti-Peek Mode and simply enable the feature. We would love to hear what you think of Anti-Peek Mode as we work to make this feature even better! Once you’ve had a chance to try it out, make sure to share your feedback via this survey or by simply posting a comment below. 📣This feature will only be available in Labs until May 31, 2025 so try it out today!770Views3likes11CommentsRecommend items with the same name in App auto-filling
Currently, if an item is not linked to its App, when auto-filling username and password for the first time, 1Password should be launched on the App login page, and the user needs to manually search for the item and allow auto-filling. However, usually, the item name is the same as the App's name. For example, when I save the password for Google, I will name the item "Google" instead of something else. So, when user launches 1Password on an App's login page, it is possible to automatically recommend items that have the same name as the App or contain the App's name, thus eliminating the step of manual search.18Views0likes0Comments1Password Auto locking failing up on change of biometrics
I bought new S25 Ultra and activated 1Password. Later when I changed my fingerprint biometrics, the 1Password accepted the new fingerprint without seeking the app password. I have been using 1Password on IPhone and any change in security settings would by default lock the app asking to re enter the password. This is a serious security fail with Android. Hello, I have this annoying issue where it asks me for additional approval every time I go to autofill a login when signing into a website. I get a pop up that says: Fill Anyway? 1Password can't verify the app or website should have access to your ___ login Cancel -or- Allow Once This happens on mobile (Android) and when using the Kiwi browser, but not when I try in Chrome. From other threads I found, it looks like Kiwi isn't a supported browser, but the autofill part itself works, it's just this approval popup. So, is there a 1Pass or Kiwi setting or something I can do to set it to always approve without prompting each time? ThanksSolved84Views1like4Comments1Password for Wear OS
Wear OS 5.1, based on Android 15, was just released. This new version provides support for the Credential Manager API. TBH, I don't know how it works, but I found an option for Chrome Password Manager under "Settings > Passwords" to select Chrome Password Manager. My idea is to check if new feature could be interesting to implement in 1Password. It would be nice to be able to login a website using a passkey from the watch. Again, I don't know how it works, because I don't use Chrome Password Manager, so it would be nice to do some research or even a small PoC. Other feature that would be very nice, but that one related to 1Password for Wear OS, it would be the possibility to check the OTP codes directly into the watch instead of opening the app. But that's a suggestion for a possible Wear OS support. Here is the link for the release to use in the emulator: https://developer.android.com/training/wearables/versions/5-1 QUICK UPDATE: I found this piece of news that shows a screenshot of a Google I/O slide that mentions Dashlane, another popular, yet not that good, password manager: https://mezha.media/en/2024/11/26/wear-os-5-1-test-version-based-on-android-15-released-for-developers/Solved105Views1like3Comments
