Managed device, with work profile (Android/Zfold7)

I have just left my Samsung s10 for a Z Fold 7.

On both phones I have 1Password installed under the Work Profile, they have the same configuration policies.

On my ZFold I have to enter my password everything I open the app, biometrics are not working even though it is enabled on the phone.

I can not enable Autofill, even though 1P is set to autofill in the phone setting. But on the work profile nothing happens.

Please help

    Hello!

    "Have I understood correctly [...]"
Almost, unlocking with biometric and autofill is working seamlessly on my S10, but it was enrolled in Intune 3 years ago. My Fold 7 was enrolled last week.

"what is currently displayed under Settings > Security > Unlock?"
    Biometric on private profile
Password on work profile. When I try and change to biometric I get the following message:
"Set up biometric unlock via the settings app"
I have biometric set up  already in settings.

" If your organization is using Intune, a bug is currently being investigated that can prevent changing that same policy."
Aha! We are using Intune for all devices, yes. I'll have a look in the technical infromation since I am the admin :)

    Thank you!

Hi ingemarcx, thanks for writing in. I'm sorry to hear 1Password isn't working as expected on your work devices.

Have I understood correctly that you're using a work profile on both your S10 and Fold 7, that biometric unlock is working on the S10, but not the Fold 7, and that autofill isn't working on either device?

On your Fold 7 can you use biometric unlock with other apps? If you open and unlock 1Password for Android what is currently displayed under Settings > Security > Unlock?

As for autofill, this may be related to an admin policy introduced with Android 14 that can restrict or choose which providers can be set as the Autofill service in an Android work profile on managed devices. If your organization is using Google Workspace to manage devices the admin should be able to change those policies with the steps in this guide from Google. If your organization is using Intune, a bug is currently being investigated that can prevent changing that same policy. If you're interested in some technical information on that you can find more here, and here.

    Thanks again!
