1P Safari extension broken

1P is unlocked. Safari ext shows as locked. Clicking it opens an otherwise empty window with an endlessly spinning wheel. It never stops.
Let's version of Safari and 1P

1Password Version: 8.7.1
Extension Version: 2.3.3
OS Version: 10.15.7

    Not really. BUT I cannot be expected to restart Safari every time 1P locks itself. And the appalling load time in safari from launch is untenable. You should not have released 1P8 without making this abundantly clear.

    That definitely isn't the experience we want you to have. Just as a quick check, does the issue still occur after fully quitting both 1Password and Safari? Let me know!
