1P Safari extension broken

1P is unlocked. Safari ext shows as locked. Clicking it opens an otherwise empty window with an endlessly spinning wheel. It never stops. Let's version of Safari and 1P 1Password Version: 8....

That definitely isn't the experience we want you to have. Just as a quick check, does the issue still occur after fully quitting both 1Password and Safari? Let me know!
