4 years ago1PasswordSLSNativeMessageHost processes
Twice in the past week I've found my Mac (Monterey 12.2.1) become sluggish, and discovered an enormous number of processes called 1PasswordSLSNativeMessageHost consuming CPU. Easy enough to kill the processes, but concerned that this is a new misbehavior.

Hi everyone,
We believe we've got this fixed up in 1Password for Mac 7.9.4. Please give that a try as soon as the update becomes available for you and let us know how it goes. It is available today for folks who update directly through the app, and will be available through the App Store as soon as it makes it through the submission & approval process.

Hey John_Mc:
Thanks for following up. We're still investigating, but I can definitely understand how annoying this is. As I mentioned above, disabling "Integrate with the 1Password app" in 1Password in your browser's settings (right click the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar > Settings) should improve your state of play.

I'm not on an M1 (4 year old Intel MacBook Pro) but running macOS 12.2.1. The common thread seems seems to be Chrome and 1Password on macOS. I had no problems running Firefox and using 1Password there.

I was having the same issue and was able to solve it (so far!) the same way @ostertoaster did: Deleted the Chrome extension, restarted Chrome, reinstalled the extension, and so far everything is fine. I'm on an M1 MacBook Air running 11.6.2 and Chrome 99.something

Getting this too.
I also notice I get a message from 1Password when I start Chrome claiming Chrome is in the middle of an update.
Same as @oastertoaster I am on Chrome 99 and Monterey with a Mac Book M1 Pro
So I wonder if it something to do with a combination of all those variables?
