Ability to "hide vaults from search" removed in 1Password 8? Collections are inferior.
It appears that the ability to hide vaults from search (e.g. when viewing "All Items) has been removed from 1Password 8 (desktop on Mac). I used that option extensively, and really miss it.
I can imagine that collections are supposed to replace this, but IMO, it's inferior in at least one way - to change between collections, you have to pull down on a menu item on the top left. Instead, it would be great if collections could (optionally? individually? both?) added to the sidebar (with item counts - see other issue on that).
Why is this important? I like to see in a glance (highlighted item on sidebar), which subset of vaults I'm searching/viewing.
I like the idea of collections, but and I can see how they are more capable in some ways, but in this one way, they seem more cumbersome.
