"All Items" Icon Looks Different on Android App vs Desktop/Web – Is It Just Me?
Hey everyone,
I've noticed something odd and was wondering if anyone else can confirm this. The "All Items" icon on my Android phone app and Android tablet app looks different from the one I see on the 1Password Desktop app and the Web app. It's a small visual difference, but it's enough to catch my eye every time I open the app.
Is this an intentional design choice for the Android platform, or could it be a rendering issue on my devices? Admittedly, it could just be my OCD kicking in, but it feels a bit off — almost like the Android version of the icon is misaligned or styled inconsistently.
Would really appreciate it if someone could check and let me know what they see. Thanks!

Thanks for your question animeshbhunia, that's an interesting one!
The difference I'm seeing is that in 1Password for Android the icon is a little bit more zoomed in, and cut to a circular icon. On the desktop app, it appears to be less zoomed in, and cut to a square/squircle. I don't have the eye to judge alignment though 😂.
If I had to guess, I'd say this was intentional to match the circular section icons on the home page of 1Password for Android (Favorites, Recently Created, etc). That said, I'm not certain if it was a specific design choice.
Are you seeing the same difference with the icon as I described?

Hi Timothy 👋
Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, I’m seeing exactly the same difference you described — the "All Items" icon on Android does appear a bit more zoomed in and circular, whereas on Desktop and Web, it's more squircle or square-shaped.
That said… 😅 if you look closely, the Starter Kit, Personal Vault, Archive, and Recently Deleted icons all match the Desktop/Web design style quite well. It's just the All Items icon that feels visually inconsistent — and yep, it totally triggers my OCD every time I scroll past it! 😂
Maybe it’s just a minor rendering tweak or an intentional stylistic choice for Android, but it does look a little out of place in context. Perhaps we could refer it to the Design or UI/UX team? They might have a better perspective on whether it's intentional or worth adjusting.
Appreciate you checking it out — thanks again! 🙌

Thanks for the follow up animeshbhunia.
I had a similar thought with the comparison to Archive, Recently Deleted, and so on, but I also see a logic in distinguishing it as middle level navigation in line with the options on the Home page.
Either way, I've gone ahead and flagged this with the team. I can't say if this will rocket to the top of the priority list, but your attention here is greatly appreciated. The small details really can make a big difference!
