Any experience of 1Password with Safari 26 (beta) yet?
Safari 26 (the version that will come with macOS Tahoe) is available as a beta for macOS Sequoia.
Anyone tried 1Password and 1Password for Safari with Safari 26 on Sequoia (or Tahoe) yet? If so did you encounter any issues?
Debating whether to take the plunge and try the Safari beta...
Hello folks,
Our team has released improvements to how 1Password interacts in form fields in the upcoming releases of Safari for macOS Tahoe and Safari Technology Preview. Those improvements are now available in version 8.11.9 available in the App Store: 1Password for Safari
If you see other issues after updating then please let me know.

In Safari on MacOS 26, go to any login screen.Start with 1PW locked. Launch Safari. Click the 1password icon in username of password field. The icon just disappears. Is this a known issues that 1PW developers are working on ?

Thank you for helping us to test 1Password on the beta version of macOS. The issue that you noted is something that we're aware of and tracking in the beta version of macOS 26 Tahoe.
Our team is working to release a fix in time for the stable release of macOS 26 Tahoe.

Hi Dave- Installing the 1Password for Safari Beta version alleviated the login issues I was having. Thanks for the recommendation. I'll keep my eyes open for any other issues I come across.

Is there a beta version of the plugin for Safari available?

You can find the beta version of 1Password for Safari here: Install a beta release of the 1Password browser extension
I hope that helps! 🙂

The safari extension is completely unusable on macOS Tahoe beta.
1password button next to the input box will disappear after you click it.
I will move my password to apple password too.

Yeah. This is a typical Apple behavior. If you don't follow the method they provide, you will encounter various problems. Native autofill will solve it.

I am also testing MacOS26 and iOS 26. I am having some issues on a few websites with the MacOS 26 Safari plugin where the dropdown button does not appear. Specifically Fidelity Investments and American Express to name a couple. I am able to use the Menubar button but I don't think you intend for that to be the Goto method to login. On other sites, the button appears and works perfectly (Like QuickBooks.)
I have reported this through the Apple Beta Feedback portal, but thought I should drop a note here as I am not sure how fast that information is delivered to the App developer.

Hello ChrisJenkins! 👋
Thanks for the question! Our team is testing 1Password with macOS Tahoe and the beta version of Safari. As with any beta, there are a few different issues currently being tracked, the most notable being an issue where 1Password's icon in a username/password may disappear in certain situations after being clicked. You can workaround that issue by filling from the pop-up.
If you do decide to test masOS Tahoe and run into issues then let me know and I'll get them filed for our development team. I'd also be interested to hear the experiences of other members of the community who might already be running macOS Tahoe.
