Apple Watch unlock isn't working in 8.10.38

Has this issue been resolved in 8.10.38 or 8.10.39? It stopped working for me in 8.10.34 so I upgraded in the hopes that it might get it working again, but it hasn't. And I don't see an option in Settings to toggle "Unlock with Apple Watch" on or off.
