Archived items appear in search
Hello all! I noticed that in 1Password when I search I see items that I have archived but there is no UI element telling me they are archived which confused me as I think to myself "I don't use that login anymore..." the only way I can tell is if I click the three dots menu the option to archive will be missing and instead it will say restore.
I do like being able to search archived items but I wish this was a filter I could control AND if the results are going to appear at all the item should reflect that it's in an archived state. Just my two cents :)
1Password Version: 8.10.52
Extension Version: 8.10.52.25
OS Version: macOS 15.1
Browser: Edge

I'm sorry that you're still seeing an issue. I see that you opened a ticket via email and I've responded to you there. Let's continue the conversation over email.

I'm still seeing this issue after updating.
Archived items are still appearing in my search results, both on my Mac (1Password for Mac 8.10.58 (81058041)) and iPhone (7.10.2).

Thank you all for your patience. Our developers released a fix for the issue on December 12th with version 8.10.56:
We’ve fixed an issue where archived and deleted items were sometimes included in search results.
You can find instructions on how to update here: How to keep 1Password up to date

Yes I also have this problem, and it's been 5 weeks since these posts - has any progress been made? It's a fundamental issue. I'm getting many suggestions dating back 10 years when I search for an item.

Hello everyone,
Thank you all for your reports and for sending in an email to our support team. My colleagues and I have been able to reproduce the issue on our end, it looks like the "Other Suggestions" component is caching items that have since been archived or deleted. We've filed a work item with our development team to investigate this further.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience and confusion.

cheshirecat correct it appears under “other suggestions. Which is why I thought it was by design but support is saying they shouldn’t be appearing at all. And funny enough if I search in the browser extension they in fact do not appear. It’s just in the desktop and mobile apps.
