Hello folks,
We’re sorry about the issues that you’ve reported when using 1Password in Safari. We’re happy to share that the latest update to macOS and iOS includes improvements to Safari that resolve a bug where 1Password's suggestion menu would stop working and autofill will stop filling in certain situations.
- If you’re using a Mac, update to macOS version 15.6: Update macOS on Mac
- If you’re using an iPhone or iPad, update to iOS version 18.6: Update iOS on iPhone and iPad
We also recommend taking the time to make sure that you’re using the latest version of 1Password for Safari.Thank you for your patience as we worked with our partners at Apple to resolve the issue. If you're still seeing the issue then please send an email to support@1Password.com so that the team can help further.

Still experiencing this issue in 18.5, most of the time I have to resort to universal autofill but that's not how it should be. To be honest, this is an issue that keeps reappearing over and over since Safari profiles were introduced.
I am not sure if it's related to the profiles functionality per se, but we need a permanent fix as it's not just an annoying thing anymore, but a proper disruption of workflows.

The team has identified an issue in Safari 18.4, that also exists in Safari 18.5, that can cause 1Password to stop filling login credentials in Safari and we're working with our friends at Apple to get this fixed.
The issue only affects Safari and doesn't affect other browsers on the Mac like Chrome or Firefox. When the issue occurs, re-opening the website in a new tab is usually enough to allow autofill to start working again. If that doesn't work then you'll need to restart Safari.
I'm sorry for the disruption that the issue is causing. Hopefully a fix will be available soon.

Totally agree. Glad I am not the only one who sees a relation to the profiles feature. Since the launch I had windows which were running a different profile where 1Password simply didn't work while on the window right next to it, it worked fine. I still experience this sometimes. I simply don't want to switch and also don't know a good alternative which allows our SMB to share vaults etc like in 1Password. This needs to be fixes ASAP.

Yeah that's what I encounter sometimes too (not as often as in the past, though). I guess not many people use Safari (and profiles specifically) for them to dedicate resources to solving this. It might be on Apple too, I can't rule it out.
It's a bit sad to see Apple apps being second class citizens almost since 1Password 8. Other password managers are catching up, it won't be long before there is some serious competition.

I do not use the Profiles at all and have been frustrated with this for quite a while. I’m frustrated by the app design, the frequent need to update the app and the behavior of the extension.
I have family using 1PW so moving to another password manager would be painful, but I have started looking.
