Autofill issues on android
Hello,
I hope you are doing well.
I have been experiencing significant difficulties with autocomplete and passkey functionality
on my Honor X8B device running Android 14 and Magic OS 8.0. I know there are currently
bugs with Chrome, but I have also noticed issues in apps such as Discord and many
others, which I detail below. All apps, including 1Password, are updated
to the latest available version. At this time, I cannot determine whether these issues
are a widespread problem or limited to my device.
Details of issues by app
- AliExpress: Only the password is completed; passkey creation does not work.
- Binance: Neither the username nor the password is filled in.
- Bitwarden: Does not autofill the username or offer the option to log in with a passkey.
- Credly: Does not work (Chrome window).
- Discord: Neither the username nor the password is filled in.
- Dropbox: Partially detects the fields; initially does not recognize the email and then fills in the username and password after manually entering a value.
- eBay: autocompletes correctly, but has issues creating passkeys.
- FedEx: only the password is filled in.
- HP: does not work (Chrome window).
- Mega: only the password is filled in.
- Plex: does not work (Chrome window).
- Pluto TV: the username is not filled in.
- Roblox: the username is not filled in.
- TeamViewer: does not work (Chrome window).
- TikTok: password is not completed.
- Uber: email is not completed when logging in with email; I cannot confirm whether the password is completed.
- X (Twitter): does not allow the use of 1Password; the field is interpreted as an identification number.
- Zoom: only the password is completed.
Additional notes
- The problems occur exclusively on Android.
- All applications and the operating system are updated to the latest available version.
- In some applications, the action of “press and hold → autocomplete” also fails to resolve the issues.
