Been asking for this change for a few years now
It's crazy that a security focused app shows all the information for subfolders when viewing the top folder. I have a top folder called Health and a few subfolders that I don't want anyone to see when we're viewing entries for the top level folder called Health. When I click on Health and just want to see those items, I instead see every single item in all the subfolders. Please change this so that the subfolders don't show the items unless we click on them. Thanks

I'm happy to help. I've also shared your feedback with the team internally. π

OK, I do wish it behaved more like traditional folders but I guess that's not in the cards. Thanks for the replies.

Thanks for the reply. Since clicking on a parent tag will also show items that are tagged with any child tags nested in that parent tag it sounds like the best option here would be to either:
- Tag those items with a tag that isn't nested under another tag.
- Use the search filter that I mentioned in my previous post to view items that are tagged with the parent tag but not any child tags.
I hope that helps. π

I guess it's a tag but it's nested in a folder subfolder structure and tag is identified the same way we deal with folders. I.e. "mainfolder/subfolder (when you view the sub item's tag).
So yes, I assumed if it looked and behaved like a folder, it was a folder.
I'm not using searches, I'm browsing through the interface to get to the items I want someone else to see.
Are you saying I can't do this? If I want someone to see the top level items but not the nested items (through scrolling through the app) I can't use 1Password for this or I need to change the structure and not have sub items?

Hello FuriousFan! π
Thank you for the feedback! 1Password doesn't support folders, are you referring to tags? If you are then it's expected behaviour to see all of the items associated with a "child" tag when you click on the "parent" tag in the sidebar. This is due to 1Password's nested tag system.
If you'd like to see just items tagged with the parent tag, and not any of the child tags, then you can search for the parent tag like this:
=tag:TAGNAMELet me know if I misunderstood the situation. π
