Both 1password and 1password for Safari in Launchpad, can one be deleted

I have just upgraded to 1Password 8 and find 1Password and 1Password for Safari apps in Launchpad. Is it necessary to have both?

Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: Ventura 13.1
Browser:_ Safari

    Hello @ssmith1pwd! 👋

    Great question! I recommend that you keep both since they perform different functions:

    • 1Password is the desktop app and you can use it to easily edit and manage your items.
    • 1Password for Safari is the browser extension and it allows you to save and fill items into websites open in Safari.
