Hi @boombr, sorry that you've encountered this issue. Let's get it sorted out!

It sounds like this might be a result of how Secure Notes are formatted. By default, Secure Notes use Markdown formatting, which allows you to use symbols like * and _ to format text (I actually used Markdown just now to demonstrate this 👆).

As a result, those symbols might be interpreted as a "formatting character" by the app, and not as a part of the text to be presented on-screen.

Let's do a quick test to determine whether that's responsible for the problem you're seeing:

  1. Open 1Password for Windows and unlock with your usual password.
  2. Select ⋮ > Settings > General
  3. Un-check the "Format secure notes using Markdown" option.

Does that resolve the issue? I'll look forward to learning what you find!
