Can’t use app activation links anymore

In 1Password v7, you can enter an app activation link (e.g. x-spamsieve://p?n=My_Name&sn=spamsxMy_SN) in the URL field and when you want to re-activate the app, all you have to do is to click the field: the link launches the app and activates it.

In v8, even with the field ripely set as a URL field, the only option available is to copy (or show in large type). I can no longer open the link.
It’d be great to restore the previous behavior
