Can't copy from secure notes

iMac M3 w/ Tahoe 26.2 & 1P v.8.12.6

Cannot copy from secure notes to the multi clipboard within spotlight either thru quick access or direct from 1P main window. Is this a bug or a feature? How can I force? Thanks.
