4 years agoChrome extension requires login now?
Hi,
All had been working great until 2 days ago. My Chrome's 1Password extension has a lock on it and if I double click on it it opens up the 1Password website with login instead of just opening up the app. I don't have an account with 1Password since I've purchased a standalone license, which had been working fine with the extension so far. Removed and reinstalled the extension, Chrome is updated. Is there a solution for that? Thanks!

As someone who refuses to rent their software, which is why I'm stuck on 1Password 6, and doesn't want my vault stored on 1password's servers, this "bug" was the last straw. I previously even tried to get a standalone license to version7, which was a hidden feature, and they told me they disabled it a few days earlier. BTW, if you ever stop payment on your subscription (should you be foolish enough to get one) the same thing will happen. You won't be able to fill in forms on your browser, making you manually search, copy, and enter everything. Fortunately, I discovered Enpass for Mac. Standalone license, you control the vault, and effortlessly imports 1password settings. It's like 1password before they became greedy and fascist. I could not be happier. Ten year user, two full version purchaser, and thrilled to give my money to a better company. You can futilely complain on this blog or take action.
