Error: "Your Mac hasn't logged out because '1Password' failed to quit."

Attempting to log out of my Mac fails with an on-screen message "Your Mac hasn't logged out because "1Password" failed to quit. To continue logging out, quit "1Password"." The on-screen message has options "cancel" and "try again". If I use the 1Password "helper" to completely quit 1Password the log out then completes.

Currently running macOS Ventura 13.4 on iMac retina 5K 27-inch 2019, and using 1Password for Mac 8.10.7 81007041 (from Mac App Store) with current subscription to 1Password for Families.

I have this exact issue with my iMac running Ventura 13.4. I had it set to shut down every night, but it cannot any longer because "1Password failed to quit"

I'm sorry that you're also running into the issue. Our developers are investigating the issue. To help with the investigation, the next time that the issue occurs can you note the time and then I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from your Mac:

    Sending Diagnostics Reports (Mac)

Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support+forum@1password.com.

    With your email please include:

The report will be in zip format. Please send the entire file.

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here. Thanks very much!

I don't have access to your diagnostics report here on the public forum and it's best to continue the conversation over in the email thread that you have open with our support team.

However, it looks like the issue has been filed with our development team to investigate further. When, or if, the issue is resolved a fix will be included in an update to 1Password. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

I can confirm, I've experienced this on both of my machines, both M-Series MacBook Pros. If I can provide any additional info, just let me know.

This really only started happening for me within the past two weeks, perhaps with the last update to 1Password. Any idea what caused this or how to fix it?

Thank you, I've located your email and confirm that it made it to the right team. One of my colleagues will take a look at the diagnostics report and send you a reply as soon as possible. Please continue the conversation there.
