File size mismatch (bug?)

When I upload a file of about 960KB to the File Vault, it always shows 222KB! Is this a bug? I have tried reinstalling the software and restarting the PC, but the result has not changed. ...

Hi poconi, thanks for reaching out about this!

I've attempted to reproduce this on my end, but for me the size of the file attachment remains the same. I have a few questions to help me understand the behaviour you're seeing:

  • What type of file are you attaching?
  • If you download this file from 1Password, what size is the resulting download?
  • If you create a new item and attach the file there, does the same thing happen?
  • Does this file size change happen with other files as well, or only the one shown in your screenshot?
  • Are you attaching files using the desktop app, or 1Password.com?
