Filling issue in specific apps and websites

I first noticed an issue when I upgraded my phone in June from a Sony Xperia i III running Android 13, to my Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra running Android 15. I could not get 1Password to autofill to save my life. I made sure iPassword and Chrome were updated, and tried various fixes from this community and other sites, all to no avail.

I finally gave up in late June/early July, and switched my phone's default browser to Microsoft Edge. It now works as expected about 80-85% of the time. There are still some websites that 1Password won't appear at all when my focus is in a username or password field, and some where I do get the 1Password prompt but it does not fill even after confirming the credentials and allowing access. There are also a handful of apps that do the same, but that's fairly minor. 1Password now works most of the time with Edge as the default browser, so I'm sticking with that until I see evidence that it works better with Chrome on my phone than it does now with Edge.

    Hi Spiffus​! Thanks for letting us know about this filling behaviour, and my apologies for any trouble. I've moved your comment to its own thread as I suspect it's not entirely the same as the one covered in our autofill update thread.

    I'm glad to hear you're seeing more consistent filling in Edge, though we'd definitely like to see the same in Chrome. Have you used Chrome recently? If so, have you noticed any websites that work in Edge but not Chrome?

    In regards to the 15-20% of websites that don't work in Edge as well as the apps, we'd be happy to take a look and report any issues to the team. Worth noting there are some cases where autofill may be blocked or unsupported, but we can take a look regardless. If you've come across any apps or websites where you've seen issues recently, feel free to share them here. Thanks again!
