How do I disable the purple highlighting of search results within the content of a note?
After the latest update of 1Password, search results are highlighted in purple within the content of the note. How can I disable this? I want it to work like it did before. This is very unreadable for me and makes my work difficult.

Thank you for your patience. Our developers have released a fix for an issue where the notes field was always shown when searching, even if it was unrelated to the search. If you haven't already, please update to version 8.10.36:
Let me know if you still see the issue after updating.

DominikWT - Thanks for the further information and the suggested test. After testing using your steps, I can definitely see how the highlighting could be distracting when a Secure Note contains a lot of instances of the search term.
I've filed a feature request with the Product Team on your behalf to request an option to disable the highlight or improve the legibility of the highlighted text. While I can't offer a guarantee as to if or when a change could be implemented, your feedback will be seen by the team and taken into consideration. Thank you for taking the time to share it with me.

Since you don't notice the problem, I suggest you do a small test. Create a new note and name it, for example, "company." In the content of this note, enter about 20-30 email addresses with the @company.com domain. Then go back to the search bar, type the first three letters "com," and see how the note looks. It is completely unreadable and makes work difficult.

Hi DominikWT - I'm sorry to hear that the new highlight behaviour when searching isn't useful for you. I'd be happy to file a feature request for a change to this behaviour on your behalf.
Is the colour of the highlight the issue and would it be more useful for you if the highlight was a different colour? Or would you rather the option to disable the highlight entirely?
I want to ensure that I have a full understanding of the issue and the desired behaviour so I can advocate as effectively as possible in the feature request.
Barryl - Thank you for sharing your feedback. The development team are aware of the issue with the spacing of the search preview and are working towards a fix. Keeping 1Password up to date will be the best way to ensure that you receive the fix as soon as it becomes available.

It's not just the purple. On the Mac client the contents of the Notes field are compressed against the title making it really difficult to interpret the search results. It would be great to have an option to only display the titles of the matching items.
