Thanks for the question! In a situation where you have a passkey for a website saved in 1Password and you're signing into that website on a device that doesn't have 1Password installed then you can use a QR code and 1Password on your mobile device to sign-in. Before doing so, make sure that 1Password is installed on your mobile device and that autofill is setup on that mobile device:
- Use 1Password to save logins and sign in to apps and websites on your iPhone and iPad
- Use 1Password to save logins and sign in to apps and websites on your Android device
Then, if you're signing into the website on your Windows PC, you'll choose the option to sign in using another device and scan the QR code using the camera app on your mobile device. You should then see the option to sign in using 1Password.
Let me know if you run into any issues or if I misunderstood the question.

Thanks for the reply Dave. scanning the QR code with my phone does not work for me. i have the latest version of 1Password for Android, and i have a passkey for github set up in github stored in 1password, but when i scan the QR Code Google's passkey system is the one that pops up, not 1password. i've tried to delete my device passkey but you don't seem to be able to. do i have to add the FIDO:/ protocol to 1password's list of links it should be the default app for or something?

Thank for the reply. Configuring 1Password for autofill on your Android device should be all that you need to do, using these steps: Set up Autofill
When you try to fill a login on your Android device, in a browser for example, do you see suggestions from 1Password? Or just Google's built-in password manager? Are you able to share what kind of Android phone you have?

so i didn't think this had anything to do with autofill, but i went and i set it up anyways. no change in behavior. to be clear im not trying to use a 1password stored passkey to log into something on my phone, i want to use 1password on my phone to log into a temporary device, like a library computer. A cross-device login if you will
i want to open up github on the library computer, click sign in with passkey, click use a phone or tablet and then scan the QR code with my phone. however when i do this it is google's passkey store that opens the QR code, not 1passwordI've tried to attach photos of what I'm doing but your forum software is fussy about image uploads so here's an Imgur image gallery of it: https://imgur.com/a/passkey-flow-YQFDVn0
