I don't understand the "New" autosave for logins and the extension keeps telling me about it.
So apparently a new feature was rolled out called Autosave for Logins. I am not sure how this differs from what had priorly existed. Now I keep being told about the new autosave feature and nothing...

2 years agoHello, AgingKeeper. Thank you for writing in.
With the Autosave feature, 1Password in the browser now offers to save your pre-existing logins automatically. Before the Autosave feature, the credentials had to be manually saved. If you're entering login credentials that do not match your current Login item or the credentials aren't in your vault yet, it will pop up and ask you to save it. Here's a screenshot for reference:
You can toggle off the Autosave and Autosubmit features in the 1Password extension settings. Here's how:
- Open your browser.
- Right-click the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar and select the Settings option.
- In the Autofill & save section, toggle off Sign in automatically after autofill and Offer to save logins.
You mentioned:
Now I keep being told about the new autosave feature and nothing I do seems to get this notification to stop appearing, on all of my devices.
Did you get this notification after clearing Safari's history/cache? If you clear Safari's history or use a private tab, the notification may appear consistently in the 1Password extension pop-over because its settings are stored in the browser's history.
I look forward to your reply.
