3 years agoIs there a way to add an entry with a password, but no username?
I've used 1Pass for a long time Mac, where there is an option to add a "Password", which was just a password field, and a name.
But with the latest version on Windows, it seems their "Password" entry is the same as "Login"--fields for both a username and password that you can't remove:
Is there a way to make an entry with just the password field on Windows?

I just tried this and, while viewing the saved item does not show the password field, when clicking "Edit" the blank "username" and "password" fields still appear.
I think it would be great if these "default" fields can be removed, just like any other field can be.
Thank you.

Welcome to the community! I’d be happy to pass along your feedback. Could you share a bit more about why you’d like the option to remove the default username field? Is it causing any specific issues for you?
As you mentioned, the username field stays hidden unless something is entered, and removing it entirely could make it harder for users who aren’t familiar with custom fields to know how to add a username field when they need one.

Option to remove will be less confusing when exiting. And, this does not prevent default fields present for new items. Ty

Hey there @hbk9000
You're right – the Login and Password categories now both include
usernameandpasswordfields. If the item has both, that makes it a Login. If it doesn't have ausername, it becomes a Password. You can leave theusernamefield blank, and it won't appear at all when you Save the item.Try it yourself, and let me know if you need further help. :)
