Legacy - if I die
So I have used 1password families for over 8 years now. My wife and I are the organizers. I understand my Emergency Kit and have that in my safe at home. If both my wife and I die, my kids just need to get into the safe to be able to see our paper wills/trusts and the 1password Emergency kit for our 800+ digital life (financial, social, email, etc). Since they are under my 1password account and use 1password as well, I was wondering if there was a way to leave a legacy note that they could have in their vaults that holds the combination to my safe. By legacy note I mean a note that they could read but then I would be notified the next time I logged in (maybe they could 'request' access to the note with a 1 day or 1 week wait time and if I didn't reply it would auto open). That way if I was passed, no big deal. But if they accessed it while I was alive I would know something is up. Yes, I trust my kids now, but how many people's kids were on drugs for how long before they noticed?
Maybe each account gets a legacy card on the profile tab that they can share with anyone else who uses 1password?

Much of this is covered in The complete guide to digital estate planning and You’ve inherited a digital estate plan: Now what?
As for contingency planning and disaster scenarios, it's fun but very difficult to identify and prioritise actual threats. I like the "Someone signed in to ... from ..." type emails which many services, including 1Password, send, which should address some of your concern about trusted parties using access unexpectedly.
It sounds like you've taken steps to Implement a recovery plan for your family, but you might consider if other members of the family can be trusted as organisers (or some other future suitably privileged role) in case you and your wife both become unable to fulfil the role.
