Native Password AutoFill Extension macOS
So one of the people in my family subscription for 1P relies heavily on iCloud Keychain. The nice piece about using the native autofill extension is entries from both show up together in-line. This happens on iOS (or if you use other password managers it secure by each provider but both are offered the same way together).
in terms of migration and allowing those who wish to use both depending on the context. It would be nice to support the native autofill extension, but further it limits exposure or need for safari extension. Should someone not want to use or can't install the extension due to work policy or just rather not use safari extensions
thanks.

Passkeys, passkeys, passkeys... you can't fill passkeys without *native* Autofill. I've used 1password for as long as you've been a company and you've added a lot of features that make me want to continue using it... but... the world is going password-less and the basic feature you offer is becoming less compelling by the day.
Please add native AutoFill ASAP. At the moment I've got Passkey's in both Apple Passwords and 1Password and they have a grudge match every time I focus a username field in Safari. Please end my misery.

Thank you for the feature request! I've shared it with the team.
For the time being, you can save and sign in using passkeys in Safari by following these steps:
- Turn off the built-in password manager: Turn off the built-in password manager in your browser
- Make sure that 1Password for Safari is installed: Download 1Password for your browser
I don't recommend using multiple password managers at the same time since you can run into conflicts and duplicated items.-Dave

What a recommendation... it seems to be the equivalent of a doctor telling the patient "Don't do that" after he's showed what causes him pain.
As I said originally, you cannot use 1password for Passkey's in native apps and we have this requirement for a couple things. So, sorry Doc... I have to do that.
You guys need to bite the bullet and implement this, but at this rate all my passwords will be Passkey's in the Passwords app before you realize your mistake.
Seriously, it's a little concerning that you guys haven't realized this. Your entire market is shifting under your feet and you seem to be hoping we all are akin to CD purists as the world of music went online... without the fun music to argue about.
Nobody want's passwords, passkeys are the answer, and you guys need to make 1password available to your customers on all the platforms or the free Passwords app, which works on all of the Apple devices and the web, becomes a better solution.. for free.

If ever there was another reason I don't care for browser extensions and really would prefer the native API solution.
An exploit of browser extensions specifically targeting password managers:

Just for sake of completeness, also +1 on this feature, for all the reasons mentioned here. 🙂
I've also shared this wish in connection with previous instabilities of the safari extension, both in previous support requests and in https://1password.community/discussion/144909/1password-does-not-work-with-safari-profiles/p2.

+1 on this feature. By supporting native autofill on macOS, 1password users will get better passkey and SMS code autofill experience. it can also make it possible to use 1password with other password manager. why not support this feature to make 1password more perfect. i don't think it is a feature that can not coexist with current autofill implementation

+1 on this feature. Just to get passkey support for native apps without having to resort back to qr-codes and your mobile

Thanks, Dave. I appreciate the commitment that 1Password has made to security -- that's why I've been a user for 15 years. But I still would prefer to give even the most trusted software only the minimum permissions it needs to do its job.
