Passkey
Hello,
I hope everyone doing well.
I am reaching out for some advice on how to disable passkeys. My understanding is that I can still use a password if I choose. Whenever I log into Amazon’s website it attempts to set one up and then I must cancel out. There was even an instance where it created one and I had to delete it. From what I found online, this is a setting in the password manager so I am asking for help on where I can change the setting, so I am not prompted for this any longer on Amazon's website.
I would like to mention occasionally when using my computer, which is a Windows PC, it does prompt me to enter the PIN for my PC to open 1Password when attempting to autofill a login. I'm not sure if this is normal or not.
Any help or guidance you can provide on these matters would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you and looking forward to your response.

Hi GIacona,
Let's tackle the passkey question first!
You are correct that the vast majority of websites and apps still allow a password to be used, though there are some that now only allow a passkey.
Is your goal that you are never asked to create a passkey? I want to make sure I understand your goal before I offer any suggestions.
