I'm sorry that you're running into filling issues on Royal Bank's website, I've split your post into a new thread to keep it separate from the issue being discussed in the other thread.
I've just tested filling in Safari on my Mac and things appear to be working for me. Here's what I'm doing:
- Open Safari.
- Go to: http://www.rbcroyalbank.com
- Click Sign In.
- Click in the "Client Name or Username" field and then click on my suggested login from 1Password. 1Password will submit the username or you can click Next.
- The password should be already filled in. Click Sign In.
Are you following different steps? At which specific steps does the process stop working?

To answer the automated email follow-up I received, no, nothing here is a solution.
While it's minor, it seems very likely to me there is some sort of interface glitch between 1Password the macOS app and 1Password in Safari. Not the end of the world, but perhaps worth examining.
