Resetting an account completely?

Hello, I have an interesting conundrum. I have a 1Password acocunt, but I can't get into it. I deleted my secret key, and I can't log in without it.

How do I log in to reset the account completely if I don't have the secret key, recovery codes or the emergency kit? I don't care about loosing the existing passwords or other details.

  • Hello richardtheb! 👋

I'm sorry that you've lost access to your 1Password account, we have a guide with some tips that might help you find your Secret Key: Find your Secret Key or Setup Code Support

If you're part of a 1Password Families/Teams/Business account then you can reach out to your family organizer or admin and have them help you recover your account.

If you would like to completely delete your 1Password account and start over then you can follow the steps at the very end of this support page: How to delete your 1Password account Support

  • Well, I found a support site that suggested I delete the account, then log in again and reset it. So I logged in, deleted the account and tried to log in again, where it asked me for the secret key :-(

I've sent an email to support.

I think support can help you with that, but you have to send them an email from the address associated with your 1P account to verify ownership.
