Scan QR code greyed out on mac

I'm using 1password 8.11.6, I have downloaded 1password through the website. When I try clicking on the qr code icon to scan a otp qr code nothing happens. The icon is also grayed out.  I have gone ...

I'm sorry that you're seeing the same issue. Can you post a screenshot of the greyed out Scan QR Code button? This will help me to better understand the situation.

In the following UI, clicking on "Scan QR Code" does nothing:

And also, clicking on this button when editing a "one-time password" entry does nothing:

This is 1Password for Mac 8.11.8 (81108040), on Sequioa 15.6.1 (24G90).
