It's not possible to add another device directly. I (personally) set up 2FA again, and before confirming, I save a copy of the QR code as a screenshot and save that within 1Password. This will allow any future authentication apps, yours and others (partner), to be set up by scanning that code at any time in the future. I hope that makes sense.
