the 1Password client cannot be installed on Windows 10 Pro

I’m encountering an issue where the 1Password client cannot be installed on Windows 10 Pro, version 22H2 (build 19045.5737). Are there any solutions to this problem?

  • Hello zznalogic! 👋

I'm sorry that you're running into trouble when installing 1Password on your Windows PC. There are a few reasons why you might see the error in your screenshot, such as anti-virus software interference or a pending Windows update. Try the following:

    1. Make sure that all pending Windows updates are installed.
    2. Restart your PC.

Then try installing 1Password again. If that still doesn't work then I'd like you to send in some log files from the Windows PC where the problem is occurring. This can help us narrow down the cause of the issue:

    1. Press the Start button on your keyboard (it may have a Windows icon on it). This will bring up your Windows search bar.
    2. Copy and paste this into the Windows search bar: %localappdata%\1Password\logs
      • Then press Enter.
    3. Select everything in this folder, and then right-click and choose Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder.

Send the folder as an attachment to support@1Password.com and include the following:
