This One flaw Makes Me Want to Set 1Password 8 on Fire - Search Results - More Work for Me and You!

This One flaw Makes Me Want to Set 1Password 8 on Fire - Search Results - More Work for Me and You!

I don't want to have to press two extra keys to see my search results 1Password7 displayed all the results without this kind of baloney. I'd like that to come back or to at least offer a toggle of some kind. It's always seriously annoying to have to go from practically nothing to extra steps for the results I had before in 1Password7.

+1 here. I miss the old behavior.

+1 here. I noticed this in Windows when that updated a few weeks ago, and annoyed to see it's made it into 1P8 too. I used to be able to press cmd+f and it would instantly filter the list as I type. For some reason, now there are 2 different search tools? Would far prefer to remove the "find" and restore the "search" to how it worked before. It's just adding more steps.

Hi dwmreg, I'm sorry to learn that the find feature doesn't meet your needs.

1Password 8 is a new app, built entirely from the ground up, so some things were bound to change from 1Password 7 - but if this feature is proving problematic for your purposes, that's certainly not where we want to end up.

I have passed your feedback on to our development team. Thanks for letting us know your experience with this.

That isn't any better. It still breaks my workflow - that I've used for longer than I can remember. Bad design poor decision on your company's part.

    Hi dwmreg

The 'find' function may help in this case. Instead of using the search bar at the top of the app select Edit > Find (or use the keyboard shortcut ⌥⌘F) and then type your keyword(s). This will filter the current list to just the items containing your keywords.
