Touch ID Grayed out on Macbook Pro (Sonoma OS)

Despite finding this issue on other forum entries, so far none of their solutions have worked. I have disabled and enabled the touch ID in System Settings, restarted, shut down, reinstalled 1Password 8, jumped up and down, etc, and cannot select the checkbox for using TouchID for 1Password. This is on the new Sonoma OS on a brand new M2 Macbook Pro.

    Hi there @efudd

It sounds like you've done a lot of the recommended steps, so it'll be best if you can send us a diagnostics report by email so that we can look into this further.

ā˜ž How to send a 1Password diagnostics report

Send it to support+forum@1password.com and you'll receive an auto-reply from šŸ¤– BitBot. It will contain a conversation number, which looks like [#ABC-12345-123] ā€“ post that here and I'll be able to make sure your message goes to the right team. I look forward to hearing from you. :)
