Touch ID Stopped Working with 1Password
Sadly, I was affected by the recent 8.10.38 settings update issue. (I'm a long-time 1P user so I suspect that was caused by ancient settings format as opposed to any unauthorised change.)
However, since that point, TouchID has refused to work with 1P. The symptom was that the option checkbox was unchecked, but could be checked, upon which it was immediately unchecked.
I wiped the TouchID data from my mac and restarted, and set up a new fingerprint etc.
The new symptom is that the TouchID checkbox is greyed out:

Just to be clear: no apparent issues with TouchID with the mac or any other application at any point. It all seems to have stemmed from the 8.10.38 update...

Settings > Reset 1Password and signing back into my accounts fixed this. With thanks to the 1P support team! :)
