In the lastest update of 1Password 8, we added the offline indicator for the first time to let you know if there's something wrong with 1Password and your internet connection. It could be the case that 1Password has been offline for awhile and only now it's being shown to you in the app. If you send through a diagnostics report from your iOS device to us, we'll take a look and get you back up and running on your iOS device:
