What minimum files need to backup to have offline access to them

Waht files I have to backup to be able show my passwords on completly offline computer later?
I tried
1. backup 1Password app installer and whole %USERPROFILE%/AppData/Local/1Password folder on external hard drive.
2. On offline PC install 1Password app from external drive and after that move %USERPROFILE%/AppData/Local/1Password folder from external drive to offline PC.

It is working. But need I backup whole %USERPROFILE%/AppData/Local/1Password folder or backuping eg. 1password.sqlite, settings/ and files/ is sufficient (or any other set of folders, files)?

    I just need some working way to have offline access (can be read only) to my passwords on fresh PC to decrypt some disks and setting up internet connection. After that the PC will be fully online.

    This is correct, yes. The initial installation of 1Password does require you to connect to our servers so that they can build and populate a local database on your device.

    I tried
    1. download 1Password app.
    2. copy %USERPROFILE%/AppData/Local/1Password to desktop
    3. uninstall 1Password app
    4. go offline
    5. install 1Password app (from step 1)
    6. copy data from step 2 back to %USERPROFILE%/AppData/Local/1Password

    And it works. So I think it is way to go for me right now. Thank you.

    This is correct, yes. The initial installation of 1Password does require you to connect to our servers so that they can build and populate a local database on your device.

    So storing access data to setting up internet connection (or other "offline" passwords - encrypted disks etc.) in 1Password is not good idea :D

    Pretty much haha. If you do need to be offline with a device for a period of time, that can often be OK - any items you change or create here will just be isolated to this specific device until you connect to the 1Password.com service again. But as Blake mentioned, manually doing things with the C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\1Password\data (like creating backups) is not a good idea - and 1Password certainly works best when used on a device that can be internet-connected and updated regularly.

    Hey DefiCzech! 👋

    While 1Password stores it's database in C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\1Password\data we do not recommend using this as a viable backup as it's only guaranteed to work for the version it originated from. Anytime other database schema changes are made on our end, 1Password will be unable to read this "backup" database without jumping through quite a few conversion hoops among other things to get it back into a useable state.

    I recommend giving the thread linked below a look as it's a pretty great overview of how local backups are handled when it comes to folks with memberships, and well worth the read!
